Hanifah Yakubu

Profile:

Hanifah is a member of the Corporate and Commercial department at Sharq Law Firm, her practice focuses on corporate, commercial, and employment law. She holds a Bachelor of Law from Nottingham Trent University in the UK and has developed a strong legal practice advising a diverse range of clients in Qatar.

In her role, Hanifah provides legal advice to both local and international clients, including leading organizations in Qatar. She has significant experience in drafting and negotiating corporate agreements, conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and advising on regulatory compliance within Qatar’s legal framework.

Experience:

•  Advised on several corporate, commercial, and employment matters to leading companies in Qatar such as Qatar Railways Company and Qatar Airways.

•  Assisted in drafting due diligence reports regarding the acquisition and merger of a public shareholding company and a limited liability company.

•  Assisted in drafting and reviewing distribution agreements, sale and supply agreements, and tenancy agreements between international companies and governmental institutions.

•  Assisted in drafting shareholders’ agreements for major companies in Qatar.

•  Assisted in establishing and advising on the establishment of companies under the Qatar Financial Center.

•  Assisted in drafting shareholders’ resolutions for limited liability companies.

•  Assisted in advising on intellectual property matters, including licensing and protection of trademarks and patents.
